Why do people start a blog? A fair question.
Wikipedia’s answer: The purpose of writing blogs could be promotion of a product or service, awareness about social issues, information sharing about any subject or purely passion for writing.
You guessed it. MY purpose is to promote my books. The part of the answer about “pure passion for writing” is better served in my novels themselves. Some people don’t write novels; they write blogs and are satisfied.
No surprise to you that my last several blogs unabashedly promoted my novels.
Today I received an email from a close friend, Andrea Tabor as follows:
A friend wrote to me, “I am enjoying the book that you recommended, CONCERNING GEORGIA STEKKER. How do you happen to know the author? I’m even thinking I might recommend it to my book club but I’m going to read a few more chapters."
Andrea answered her: "We belong to the same Synogogue, Temple Beth David in Westminster and in the same Chavurah (friendship) group.
"Would you like the list of her other books that she has written?"
This is exactly the kind of response to my blogs that is most meaningful to me. I know a lot of you out there read my novels. I also know that you TRADE books without thinking about keeping the author motivated. But oh how wonderful Andrea's to me email was. Yes, book clubs! That’s the goal!
