I started a newsletter in October to keep in touch with the readers of my novels. I don’t know if a newsletter is something valuable or just something to get in the way of already-frenzied eyes. They already know I’ll be publishing “Concerning Georgia Stekker” next year. Since I have not received email from the recipients, I wonder if I should continue with the newsletter, as entertaining as it was.
Then I heard a tale about a screenwriter whose high career had slithered down into a hole. He was ready to chuck everything. Suddenly he looked around and said, “Hey, this is a good story.” He wrote it, and sold it. Moral: don’t leave the theatre before seeing the end of the movie.
I think I’ll try again. I’ll send out another issue of the newsletter, but after the holidays.
